Starting the Blue Sky Cropped Cardigan

Posted in Knitting, Spinning, Travel at 7:58 pm by delipics

I am off for a long weekend, and I have my newest knitting project in hand. The pattern calls for knitting with yarn doubled so I’m zipping along. Trying to decide if I should pack my spindle and some fiber in my check-in suitcase. I am a little nervous about packing my Golding - what if something happens to it? I would like to have it. There is going to be lots of hanging out time while D’s band rehearses, so I might as well spin yarn.

Is that entirely in k1p1 ribbing?! Eeck! Looks very cute though…

I just started the Blue Sky cropped cardigan for the nth time. I am normally a much more competent kniter but this one really counts for me as I need it ASAP for a dreaded family event. It will be too hot to do in wool so I’m using Blue Sky cotton, cast on 10 extra stitches to account for the guage issue and so far, so good. I’m a bit zoftig so I’m concerned about when to start the ribbing. I’m not so big around the actual rib cage(29″) it is the 34FF bra size that kills me. Any suggestions?
