This is why you haven’t seen any knitting or crochet projects lately -
I’m healing from carpal tunnel syndrome - too many Excel spreadsheets due at the last minute. I was very proactive about going to see a physical therapist as soon as I started to have problems. I want to have a life time of knitting and crochet so I’m being very careful. I’ve actually never had problems with my wrists from knitting - sometimes my fingers hurt but never my wrists.
I alternate between pink and blue tape. If the tape came in different colors I could coordinate with all my outfits. How the physical therapist tapes my wrists makes a huge difference in terms of the support of my wrists and relieving the pressure. Sometimes she tapes only the wrists twice, when the pain is not so bad. Sometimes she has tape lining one side of the hand / wrist area when it hurts to twist my wrist in one direction. (I have to be careful when opening door knobs and tightly closed containers.) This tape set up extends all the way up my forearm because the tendons / muscles were tight right before my elbow.
I like how my PT tapes my wrists - functionally and aesthetically. It’s a great conversation opener. Most people think it’s fashion statement - only in New York!

Wow, it *does* make a fashion statement! Maybe you should take a stroll in Williamsburg and the next thing you know, all the kids will be taping their arms with 80s-like fluorescent tape!

So glad you’re taking care of yourself!
One tip: Do try to use warm water only when washing your hands. My Grandma used to say: Cold water causes arthritis. Or some such.
